The village of Moraira is located between Calpe and Javea. Moraira, together with the inland Teulada, forms a beautiful municipality.
Moraira has retained her character. You will not find high buildings here.
It is quite quiet in the winter, and in summer there is a cosy crowd without it being dominated.
You will find attractive terraces that are always busy, and Friday morning there is a weekly market that is well-attended.
Moraira has a beautiful promenade and two small, but beautiful sandy beaches, one of which is located in the El Portet area.
The port of Moraira still houses some fishing vessels, but there are especially pleasure yachts to see. In the harbour is the traditional fish market “Lonja” which is very crowded to buy a nice fresh fish.
There is also a small castle on the seafront, called “El Castillo”. This castle was previously used to defend the pirates who harassed the Moraira coast.
